I spend a lot of time studying the history of indentured servants in the U.S. This easy to read book provides a great and relatively unbiased look at indentured servants in colonial America. While it also considers the "forced indentures" (i.e., Convict transports or "The King's 7 Year Passengers"), it does not treat that subject very deeply.Because the majority of people in the plantation states during our early history (i.e., before 1700) were indentured or slaves, it is important to understand that part of colonial history.Regarding delivery from this supplier, the book arrived promptly and in excellent condition. It was a used Library book.
